Imagining the Bible: The Vision of Jaap Pander
September 4, 2003 - January 4, 2004

This exhibit featured the art works of Jacob Pander, father of Oregon's illustrious artist, Henk Pander. It comprised Biblical works on subjects that included Noah, Yonah, Abraham with Jacob and Esau, Adam and Eve, and Samson and Delilah. The exhibit also presented Pander's paintings and drawings of the resistance that were made (dangerously) when Holland was under German occupation. Two of Henk Pander’s portraits of his father were shown as well.
